Biography
Odmaa Narantungalag, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at Davidson College. Dr. Narantungalag's primary research interests include the impact of natural resource extraction, environmental pollution, and the health and well-being effects of energy subsidies, with a particular focus on developing countries. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Massey University (New Zealand), a Master of Public Administration from Tsinghua University (China), and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from American University in Bulgaria. Prior to joining Davidson, Dr. Narantungalag was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs and Oxfam America. She previously worked as a national consultant for the Government of Mongolia on projects implemented by multilateral organizations, including the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, and the Asian Development Bank.
