Open Access Policy

The Transdisciplinary Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) is a fully open access journal. All published content is made freely and immediately available to readers without subscription or access charges.

Article Processing Charge or Fees

The Transdisciplinary Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) is funded by the School of Economics and Business, Mongolian University of Life Sciences. TJEB does not charge any article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication fees to authors.


Copyright, Licensing, and Author Rights Policy

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in the Transdisciplinary Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) retain full copyright of their work. The copyright of each published article remains with the author(s). Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). 

2. Licence to Publish

By submitting and publishing in TJEB, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to:

  • publish the article,
  • reproduce and distribute the article,
  • make the article available online,
  • archive and preserve the article, and
  • index and promote the article through databases, repositories, and other dissemination platforms.

This licence enables TJEB to disseminate the work while allowing authors to retain ownership and reuse rights.

3. Open Access Licence

All articles published in TJEB are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.

Under this licence:

  • Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and reuse the content,
  • Users may adapt, transform, and build upon the material, including for commercial purposes,
  • Provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source.

4. Author Rights

Authors retain broad rights to reuse their work without restriction, consistent with the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors may, without limitation:

  • reuse the article in future publications such as books or collected works,
  • use the article for teaching and academic purposes,
  • share the article with colleagues and institutions,
  • deposit the article in institutional or subject repositories, and
  • present and distribute the article at conferences or other academic events.

5. Self-Archiving Policy and Version Terminology

For the purpose of this policy, the following manuscript versions are defined:

  • Preprint: the version of the manuscript prior to peer review (initial submitted version),
  • Accepted manuscript: the version after peer review and acceptance, but before journal formatting,
  • Version of Record (VoR): the final published version of the article.

TJEB maintains and archives the Version of Record as the official published version.

Authors are permitted to self-archive all versions of their manuscript, including preprints, accepted manuscripts, and the final published version, provided that:

  • proper citation to the Version of Record is included, and
  • a link to the official publication in TJEB is provided where available.

6. Reader and Third-Party Rights

Under the CC BY 4.0 licence, and provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original author(s) and source, third parties may:

  • reuse, share, and distribute the article,
  • reproduce the article in any medium or format. The “medium” refers to the form or channel through which the content is stored, transmitted, or displayed, including digital, print, and other forms of distribution,
  • adapt and build upon the work, including for commercial purposes.

7. Commercial Use and Adaptation

Commercial use and adaptation of published articles, in whole or in part, are permitted under the CC BY 4.0 licence, provided that the original author(s) and source are clearly acknowledged (any reuse must give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and indicate the source of publication).

8. Third-Party Material

Authors are solely responsible for obtaining permission to use any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables, images, maps, or extended excerpts) included in their manuscript. Any such material must be properly credited, and permissions must be secured prior to publication.

9. Copyright Notice

All published articles will include the following copyright statement: 

© The Author(s) [Year]. Published in the Transdisciplinary Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) by the School of Economics and Business, Mongolian University of Life Sciences, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). 

10. Licence Display

The CC BY 4.0 licence information will be clearly displayed:

  • on the journal website, and
  • within each published article (PDF and/or HTML version).

11. Archiving and Repository Deposit

To ensure long-term accessibility and dissemination of the scholarly record, TJEB reserves the right to deposit and preserve published articles in:

  • indexing databases,
  • institutional and international repositories, and
  • archiving systems.

12. Corrections, Retractions, and Updates

TJEB retains the right to correct, retract, or update published articles in accordance with its Corrections, Retractions, Withdrawals, and Expressions of Concern Policy. Such actions do not affect the licensing terms of the original publication but ensure the integrity of the scholarly record.
