TJEB is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by the School of Economics and Business, Mongolian University of Life Sciences. TJEB does not charge any submission or publication fees to authors.
About the Journal
The Transdisciplinary Journal of Economics and Business (TJEB) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the School of Economics and Business, Mongolian University of Life Sciences. TJEB is dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research in economics, business sciences, and their transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary intersections with other fields. The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to share original research that contributes to scientific knowledge, policy development, and practical applications.
TJEB operates a double-blind peer review process and follows internationally recognised standards in academic publishing. The journal is fully open access — all published articles are freely available to readers. TJEB does not charge any submission or publication fees to authors.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted
TJEB publishes the following manuscript types. Word counts exclude the title, abstract, keywords, references, tables, figures, appendices, and supplementary materials.

Submission and General Requirements
Submission method: Submit through the official online system at tjeb.muls.edu.mn/submit.
Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English (British or American, consistent throughout).
Corresponding Author: One corresponding author must be clearly identified. The corresponding author is responsible for:
- ensuring all co-authors have approved the submitted manuscript;
- ensuring the author list, affiliations, and information are accurate;
- managing all communication with the journal during submission, review, and post-publication;
- ensuring all required declarations are complete and accurate.
Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must approve the submission.
Ethical and Policy Requirements
Authors must comply with TJEB's ethical standards and policies. Key requirements include:
Authors must submit a completed Author Ethics, Consent, and Declarations Form as part of the submission process.
Peer Review Process
Substantive submissions — research articles, review articles, case studies, and methodological papers — undergo double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
All submissions are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for suitability in terms of scope, quality, originality, and compliance with journal requirements. Submissions proceeding to external review are sent to at least two independent reviewers.
The EIC makes the final decision based on the editorial assessment and reviewer reports. For full details, refer to the Peer Review Policy.
Research Article Structure
- 1 Title — Concise and informative, written in sentence case, avoiding unnecessary abbreviations.
- 2 Authors — First and last names in English, in order of contribution. No titles or degrees.
- 3 Affiliations — Superscript numbers; department, institution, city, country. No full postal addresses.
- 4 Corresponding author — Marked with asterisk (*); email address and ORCID ID provided.
- 5 Abstract — 200–250 words; research problem, objective, methodology, key results, conclusions. No citations.
- 6 Keywords — 3–6 keywords not already in the title; specific, singular terms; avoid abbreviations.
- 7 Introduction — Background, research gap, objectives, research questions, and hypotheses where applicable.
- 8 Methods — Research design, data sources, analytical approach; may include subheadings.
- 9 Results — Key findings clearly presented; no discussion or interpretation.
- 10 Discussion — Interpretation of findings; relation to literature; theoretical and practical implications.
- 11 Conclusion — Summary of key findings, significance, and future research directions.
- 12 Acknowledgements — Recognition of support from individuals or funding sources (optional).
- 13 References — All cited sources in APA 7th edition; alphabetical order.
- 14 Appendices — Supplementary material, additional data, or methodological explanations (optional).
Formatting Requirements
Authors are encouraged to use the TJEB Article Template which already has correct formatting applied.
Figures, Tables, and Equations
General requirements:
- All figures, tables, and equations must be cited in the text and numbered consecutively in order of appearance.
- Each figure and table must have a brief, informative caption placed above it.
- Source and notes must be placed below the figure or table.
- All symbols, abbreviations, and units must be clearly explained.
- If developed by the authors: Source: Author(s).
- Must be clear and of publication quality
- Colour differences must be visible in greyscale
- Minimise text within figures
- Prepared as editable text, not images
- No vertical lines
- Each column must have a clear heading

- Numbered consecutively: (1), (2), (3)
References
- TJEB uses APA 7th edition referencing style throughout.
- All cited sources must appear in the reference list; all listed references must be cited in the text.
- References arranged alphabetically by surname of first author.
- Where available, provide the DOI in standard URL format (https://doi.org/...).
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or Citavi.

Submission Checklist
Before submitting, ensure that:
- Manuscript is complete and formatted per journal requirements
- All figures, tables, and supplementary materials are included and properly prepared
- All citations and references are complete, accurate, and in APA 7th edition
- Manuscript complies with all ethics, authorship, data, AI, and copyright policy requirements
- Completed Author Ethics, Consent, and Declarations Form is included
- All authors have approved the final version and agreed to the submission
- Manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration elsewhere
- All required submission files and information are ready
